The Policies of Reproduction at the Turn of the 21st Century

Maria Mesner Teaches at the Institute of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna, and is research director of the Bruno Kreisky Archives Foundation. Main fields of teaching and research: Gender history, history of political culture of the US and Austria, history of reproduction and family. Gudrun Wolfgruber Mag. phil., historian, main interests of research: social policy, history and theory of welfare and social work, especially child and youth-welfare. Current research project: "Child-Welfare Provision in Vienna. Continuities and Ruptures in Theory and Practice. The City of Vienna Kinderübernahmsstelle 1925-1997." Lecturer at the fh-campus Vienna (section: social work).
